Define what changes

A common format uses one club or event logo on every towel and changes only the name beneath it. Other programs vary player number, team, role or colour. List every variable before quoting because each change may require separate machine handling or artwork output.

Prepare reliable name data

The approved data file should be treated as production artwork. Last-minute name changes can interrupt sequencing and increase the risk of packing errors.

• Supply one approved spelling per row in a spreadsheet.
• Separate first name, surname, initials and number into clear columns.
• State capitalisation, punctuation and accent requirements.
• Set a maximum character length or agree how long names will be scaled.
• Freeze the final list before production begins.

Choose a practical method

Embroidery is commonly used for names and initials because variable lettering can be produced beside a shared logo. Full-colour printing can also personalise compatible polyester towels, particularly when each towel has a more extensive individual design.

The best method depends on quantity, towel construction, name length, colours and the amount of shared artwork. Ask for a sample using one of the longest names, not only the shortest.

Plan sorting and packing

Personalised orders often need each towel identified without opening every package. Agree whether the name appears through a clear bag, on an external label, on a packing list or in a specific carton sequence.

For teams and events, group packing by team, starting time or table where useful. The production plan should include this handling rather than treating it as an afterthought.
